Planning & Zoning

The Planning and Zoning division is responsible for overseeing various land use and zoning processes and activities, including the review of a proposed subdivision of land and site development, modification of the Town's land use regulations and zoning map, as well as the advancement of environmental stewardship efforts. Planning and Zoning staff manage applications to the Planning Board, Town Board, and Zoning Board of Appeals, and they assist the Conservation Board with the performance of its activities and duties. The Planning and Zoning division maintains, and assists in periodic updates of, the Town Master Plan and official Zoning Map, and prepares and maintains records of Planning and Zoning proceedings and decisions. Members of this division also coordinate with other Town departments and with the county, state, and federal agencies as needed.
