What costs are involved when filing small claims?

Filing Fees for Small Claims actions are based on the number of damages being sought;

  • $10 fee for claims of $1,000 or less
  • $15 fee for claims from $1,001 to $3000.

Filing fees must be paid at the time of filing Small Claims actions with the court. Please note that filing fees for Small Claims cases are non-refundable.
